nice stuff Ian
are those EE9 rear calipers? where did you get the parts?
re; cam cover. yours is one of a few I actually like. im not a fan of intricate designs on cam covers and plug covers, but yours does look great.

It needed redone. Might do again soon, coming off very slightly at the edges. Might change the design when I get the new one done, but I do rather like it. Its just a pity the airbrushing doesn't last long, but at least getting it redone every year or so keeps it looking its best.

Thanks, Yeah, EE9 Rear calipers, got all my parts from brakes international, I can reccommend them.

I'm not sure yet, I might get a decent garage to do them as I wouldn't be sure about doing them myself.

I'm going to get a new design on my spare cover, but I'm not sure what to do yet. That way I can change between the two.
I'm having problems deciding which pads to go for, I've narrowed it down to either my current ones - Ferrodo DS Performance which are very good or Hawk HP+ which will have a bit more power but won't be quite as good from cold and for normal braking and will have more dust.
Not sure whether to go for blank dics again or to try grooved ones and see if they stay cooler during hard use.
Took this vid a few weeks back, but forgot to put it up, youtube makes the quality a bit poor, but its not too bad.
Walkaround
I would have had the clutch change all done by tonight, but I had been sent the wrong one Got it sorted now though hopefully, the correct one is meant to be arriving tomorrow (although I've not got my hopes up too much) thanks to Tahir for some help getting it sorted. If it does arrive then I should get the work finished tomorrow night. I'll be glad to see it done, it hasn't been the easiest job I've done, the bitch pin was exactly that and I had a problem with a lot of tight bolts, I'll be copper greasing everything as it goes back in so at least that will help any future work.
At least I've got the gearbox cleaned up and the mounts touched up.

Thanks very much guys
Had a horrible day today, after a lot of work I got everything finished off only to find that the clutch doesn't work, I think it may still not be the correct one. The pedal feels good, but as soon as you try to put it in gear the wheels start turning before it even goes in properly. I think it might possibly be a hydo clutch.
Don't know what do to, but its obviously going to have to come out again, I never ever wanted to do a clutch change on this car again as it was horrible, never mind having to one straight away again. I feel like I want to jump off a very high cliff. _________________

Man thats harsh, changing clutches is a right PITA. Where did you order/ get the clutch from you should definately make a complaint if tey sent the wrong clutch twice.
Hmm lookon bright side though you'll be a clutch changing master by the time you get it sorted _________________

Its not fair, I'll know tomorrow if the clutch is wrong as I'll phone them.
I got it from Tegiwa, I'd hope they didn't get it wrong twice, but it seems like they may have, I didn't speak to them the other day, It was Tahir did it for me as I wasn't at home, but I can't see him having made a mistake, he'd have told them it was for a Civic VT and it was a cable clutch I needed, they would also have been able to check my original order.
No way I'll be doing it on the groun again, I'll be going somewhere with a lift.
I'm going to stuggle without a car, I need it for my jobs, was only ok this week as I took this week off any work. _________________

Only difference between cable and hydro box clutches is the splines on the clutch disc - hydro ones are larger IIRC so a Hydro disc on a cable box is loose and will fail.
I'd suspect a problem with the clutch arm/release bearing first.
