Cheers for the offer man, but i want to pay a company to do it so i have the right to complain if its not up to standard.

I have seen Red hot restoration and i am very impressed with what they have done and have also considered them, however i know the work i want done is going to cost in excess of about £700 then adding fuel on top of that which would be the equivalent of making 3 journeys to and from ipswich, as i would need to take two cars up one car back and vice versa. So by the time i have factored that in i am looking at almost £900 as ipswich is approx 140miles away.

So not sure if i can warrant that sort of money :(
Just up the road from me mate , If u get it right i'll give you a free lift home on the way to my Dads in Hampshire :)

just saying :) dosent cost that muchh tbh but can save u some P :) :D

Lee4391 wrote:Im fully with both of you, I would happily spend £900+ getting it done properly, knowing it would come back mint but...

900 is more than I bought the car for and ill go to sell it in a few years or whenever and get a grand if im lucky, as they dont seem to go for much more, and also saving a grand call it would take me months, well into 4-5 and I wanna enjoy it not spend half a year saving to get rot cut out. Also it has to be done before september possibly the end of due to its mot, so it depends what I can sort financially.
Agreed. Its not the end of the world having rust, all cars will rust one day.

And excellent work on the box, its threads like these that make me go out in the rain to work on my car :top:

No
Still messing with the wiring inside the car. Its missing the rear loom so need to add that but the fusebox is really tight to get to so started taking everything out.

Plus the gearbox is still in pieces waiting for the new vss.
I will do it promise :top:

I have just PM'd Red hot Restoration for a price so will see what they say. Ideally though i want to use someone closer to home.

Ah right, i saw your thread about the VSS. How come you took it out?

Re: Kanjo inspired ec9 Build. New wheels!

Post by Lee4391 »

Hello again,
As the title states i have bought new wheels, as i sold my rotas to fund welding and bought some cheaper wheels. Enough jibber jabber...

Image
This should say 14.5 - So i have saved 2kg over the rotas which is a bonus.

Old Vs New - These came with some semi slicks i am yet to try them but can see they will perform well.

Going to take this lot to work to shot blast.

I would like to give the wheels a refurb! however the whole point in buying these and selling the rotas was to save money, so spending £30-40 on stuff to refurb them with could go elsewhere. So i am still thinking on what to do.

I will refurb them at somepoint if i don't now but...i am unsure whether to do them as they are now(silver with blue centres) or white with red centres.

None the less enjoy.
