Energy Suspension Bushes - FULL PART NUMBERS

Post by Dan »

I am wanting this to be a sticky if its useful enough

This has taken me ages to do as no one else AFAIK has done it - or at least not as good as me

I am doing each car model by themselves with all the bushings available. So far I have done siR and VT which are different. I will update this when I do the dx,gl and 16v.

This is a list for the siR only Exclamation

16.3103 – Front end control arm bushing set
16.8102 – Front shock bushing set
16.1101 – Transmission shift linkage
16.5112 – Rear ARB bushes – 15mm

Apparently the siR could have either so check or order both:

16.5111 – Front ARB bushes – 19mm.
16.5110 - Front ARB bushes - 18mm

EDIT - My siR has a 19mm front, but this might not be true for all.

16.7104 – Front Strut/Radius rod bushing set
16.7106 – Rear trailing arm bushes
16.3109 – Rear end lower control arm bushings - edited this is wrong(working it out though)
16.1105 – Set 1 of 2 Motor mount inserts
85018502 – Set 2 of 2 Motor mount inserts
16.10103 - Steering Rack Bushings - Power Steering Only

Please NOTE:

16.8103 – Rear shock bushing set – you only need the upper shock mounts – 4x 8096. I couldn’t find these by themselves.

Special Order items:

8307 – Rear upper control arm bushings
8309 – Rear compensator arm bushings

Available but not recommended due to sealing issues:

16.13101 – Front Ball joint Boot Set
9.13103 – Tie rod boot set

With the siR there is no need to buy the master kit.

Here is the list for a VT:

16.3103 – Front end control arm bushing set
16.8102 – Front shock bushing set
16.1101 – Transmission shift linkage
16.5112 – Rear ARB bushes – 15mm
16.5110 - Front ARB bushes – 18mm
16.7104 – Front Strut/Radius rod bushing set
16.7106 – Rear trailing arm bushes
16.8103 – Rear shock bushing set
16.3109 – Rear LCA arm bushing set
16.1105 – Set 1 of 2 Motor mount inserts
85018502 – Set 2 of 2 Motor mount inserts

Please NOTE:

16.13101 – Front Ball joint Boot Set – I wouldn’t bother
9.13103 – Tie rod boot set – I wouldn’t bother

Please NOTE:

16.10101 - Rack and pinion bushing set (no pas) – Only one I am not sure on

Special Order items:

8307 – Rear upper control arm bushings
8309 – Rear compensator arm bushings

Updates to follow when I have the time

Hope this is of use to people
:)

Here is a pic of my front lower control arms which I did today just to give you an idea if you're not familiar with ES bushes - still original paint - should clean up well 8)

I plan on channging some bushes to Energy ones, but I will not be buying the master kit, as oem bushes work better and cause less wear in a lot of places on the car, especially the places that twist or have many direction of travel.

Theres a whole post on ITR DC2 forum, I'll see if I can find it tomorrow and put it up here.

For example Control arms work really well with Poly bushes, RTA's don't.

The thing is DC2's have the option of harder aftermarket rubber bushings while we only have either oem or poly.

there is lots of posts about the poly vs stock RTA bushes on crx_uk. Some say you should, some say you shouldn't and others say it depends on your driving style.

Well I have all the bushes now and I am 95% right

what type of rear lca's do you have as this is the most confusing bit

16v cast lower arms are different to vt cast lower arms - everyone I asked told me they were the same - they aren't vt bushes are much bigger!!!

And the pressed steel arms from the siR - I think I need another bush form another kit as they appear to be tapered - I am working on this atm

I'll update it when I know - what sort of price are funky power thinking of? I paid quite abit because I had to order from the US, and as everyone knows the exchange rate is crap!!!

16.7104 – Front Strut/Radius rod bushing set
Is this def the corect one for a VT, as I think they are different for the rest.

Reason I am asking is I am meant to be getting some from Daz and want to make sure they are the correct ones.

Well going from the info on the crx forum it is.

I have some from the master kit here and they are part number 16.7102 - £10 posted if anyone is interested.

These 16.7102 are for a 16v - I am pretty certain anyways. I am led to believe for a VT you need ones from a DA integra which makes sense, as everything else DA fits a VT/siR.

Afraid I didn't order those bushes as I ordered a full race traction bar instead which does away with those bushes 8)
