hand brake cables

Post by sharpe2002 »

Hi

What is the difference, if any, between drum and disc handbrake cables? this applies to crx and 4g civics.. Is it the connection to the drum/caliper or what?

I would assume them to be the same length but keen to find out either way.

**I realise the civic cables are slightly longer than the crx ones, for obvious reasons [+]

The rear ends are completely different, the drum cables cannot be used with callipers.

They are different lengths.
They can fit as there isn't much in it if you don't have the same amount of slack and/or adjustment.
It's going to work, but it's not factory, and that doesn't likely matter.
